Just to let you know we are changing our meeting location and
day.
This month we will be changing to a new venue and date which will
be our new "normal" place to meet. Quite a few members
have said that although Excom was good it was hard to park in the
city so the committee decided that we would try a new venue. We
are moving back to West Perth to the Scouting Association building
which is located at 581 Murray Street West Perth.
We will still start at the same time of 6:30pm but we are able
to run past 8pm now because we can lock up after we leave!
Changing venues also means that we have had to change days as
well Wednesdays were getting hard to get at Excom because of training
that they were running and the new location did not have anything
available so we have changed nights to the first Tuesday of the
Month. Hopefully you are able to still attend even though we have
changed.
With that in mind our first meeting at the new venue will be an
Install Fest with a difference.
We will have several servers available to install software onto,
everyone wants to look at SLES, VMware ESX or even Windows 2008
for instance but they may not have time to do it. Geoff Brade will
be bringing some hardware along and we will have the software available
for people to install and look at. If you have any other ideas
and the media to do the install then please feel free to bring
it along.
